Maryos Syawish (b.1993 Iraq) is a Chaldean Iraqi Artist based in Naarm/Melbourne. Unorthodox in approach, his style has developed over a period of 15 years. Drawing on his heritage, self-taught graphic design techniques and graffiti influences, his style includes a range of mediums and uses the language of abstraction through painting and sculptural outcomes. His establishing projects as a creative practitioner are most notably through his sonic output as Sleep D, and record label Butter Sessions (co run with Corey Kikos).
