Aubrey Tjangala

Aubrey is an indigenous Australian artist whose language group is Pintupi. He is the son of famed artist Ronnie Tjampitjinpa. Aubrey is represented by Papunya Tula Artists, a company entirely owned and directed by traditional aboriginal people from the Western Desert. The Papunya Tula painting style derives directly from the artists' knowledge of traditional body and sand painting designs associated with ceremony. Since the beginning of the Papunya Tula Art Movement, the artists have removed sacred symbols and certain traditional designs from their paintings so that these ancestral stories can be displayed to the public.

Sunday Salon donates 25% of commissions made from the sale of artworks by Indigenous Australian artists to charities that support Indigenous communities.
